Through a network of interconnected light beacons suspended above and along the alley, Stargaze utilizes the Star API provided by NASA and the American Museum of Natural History’s Digital Universe Data to glow and mimic the night sky above for a contemplative and playful installation. Passageways is a joint project of AIA Tennessee and River City Company. Activating the urban alley through architecture, four Downtown Chattanooga alleys have been transformed with imaginative art installations. Unveiled in August 2016, these installations will be up for one year and will host a variety of community programming.
