Art Spark:
Utility boxes of all shapes and sizes are on our streets. While these boxes serve our needs, they can be an unappealing piece of our landscape. River City Company in partnership with EPB, Lyndhurst Foundation and other community supporters have wrapped the boxes with images created by local artists of all ages.

The largest ArtSpark installation was unveiled on May 18th, 2021 at Unum! The 103 inch by 305 inch triptych design depicts iconic Chattanooga landmarks from the Walnut Street Bridge to the vistas of Lookout Mountain to Coolidge Park. These landmarks provide a backdrop for the central focus of the panels—families, friends and loved ones—representing the millions of families Unum helps to protect every day. In addition to the unveiling, Unum presented a $10,000 check to River City Company to support the continuation of the program by matching the first 10 businesses participating in the new Business Sponsorship Program.

* The ArtSpark Box is proudly displayed on Unum’s property on Lookout Street between 5th & 6th Street. The artwork will be on display for at least the next 5 years.
