Silang Sam, Visual Strategies Manager

Silang serves as the Visual Strategies Manager and is responsible for crafting visual messaging, designing, and facilitating the development and delivery of print and other collateral, and creating and maintaining the brand for all programs, projects, and the entirety of River City Company.

Before joining River City Company, Silang worked behind the scenes in planning and designing for many multicultural programs at Chattanooga State Community College. She began the college’s first Asian Culture Club in 2020, led the AAPI Employee Resource Group, and spearheaded Chattanooga State’s annual Latin Festival and the college’s first Lunar New Year celebrations.

Silang grew up in the suburbs of Washington DC and moved to Chattanooga in 2013 to follow her heart. As a daughter of Cambodian refugees, she wishes to continue to foster a more inclusive downtown and share her love for Asian culture with the community.

Silang holds an associate’s degree in Graphic Arts Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management.
