Notable downtown businesses include Access America Transport, Alstom, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, The Chattanooga Bakery, Chattem, the world's first Coca-Cola bottling plant, Coker Tire, Double Cola, CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries, Krystal, Litespeed Bicycles, Republic Parking System and Unum.
Regionally, Chattanooga is home to CBL & Associates, Covenant Transport, Olan Mills, Wacker, a major Amazon.com distribution center and a large T-Mobile call center. The William Wrigley Jr. Company has a prominent presence in Chattanooga, now the sole production facility for Altoids breath mint products. And, McKee Foods Corporation, maker of Little Debbie brand snack cakes, is a privately held, family-run company headquartered in nearby Collegedale, Tennessee.
And, Volkswagen Group of America recently completed a $1 billion production facility that serves as its North American manufacturing headquarters. In fact, VW’s delight in our downtown area and Chattanooga’s ability “to make the intangible tangible” was a major factor in their decision to locate here.
