Vine Street - Georgia to Houston

In close proximity to their corporate headquarters and long been recognized as highly desirable locations in downtown, Unum along with River City Company agreed to explore the potential for multiple downtown parcels including Unum’s Vine Street properties for residential infill and active uses that will enliven streets and encourage walkability. Street infrastructure improvements that calm traffic, provide on-street parking, strengthen pedestrian routes, and provide safe passage for cyclists are also vital.

With several possible development scenarios, all acceptable outcomes should include a minimum of 50,000 SF of retail/commercial/office spaces along with 200-240 units of multi-family market rate workforce housing. In addition, strategic parking access, sustainable methods of construction and energy efficiency and design control by Unum and River City Company is required.
