Fire Station #1
This 23,000-foot fire station consolidates three older downtown stations into one new state-of-the-art facility.
Located at 300 East Main Street on the Southside, it was designed to compliment the new neighborhood character
outlined in the Southside Plan and services the entire downtown area.

Erlanger Health System

CARTA Buses & Free Electric Shuttles
The city is served by the Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA). CARTA operates 17 bus routes, including Free Electric Shuttles in the downtown area which run continually until 11pm along Broad Street from the Chattanooga Choo-Choo on the south side to Coolidge and Renaissance Parks and the trendy Frazier Avenue shopping area on the north shore. Free wireless Internet is also available on certain "smart buses." You can park and ride CARTA’s Free Electric Shuttles in parking garages on Frazier Avenue on the Northshore and at the Chattanooga Choo Choo on the Southside.
