One of the last Saturdays of every September, wine connoisseurs and novices alike come together on the historic Walnut Street Bridge in Chattanooga, Tennessee for the Wine Over Water Festival. Festival attendees enjoy a casual afternoon and evening with the opportunity to taste more than 200 wines offered by more than 100 wineries, listen to live musical entertainment performed by local artists, and sample cuisine from several of the area's best restaurants.
Begun in 1994, this unique annual festival is the primary fundraising activity for Cornerstones, Inc., Chattanooga's non-profit historic preservation organization. A $50 ticket entitles the bearer to a logo-engraved commemorative wineglass and an unlimited number of wine samplings.
