An annual celebration of Independence Day, this community event features a free concert by the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera Orchestra each July 3 at Coolidge Park. The performance, showcasing a spectrum of patriotic and traditional tunes as well as music from some of American's most influential composers is followed bya pyrotechnic finale from the Tennessee River. Approximately 25,000 spectators enjoy this free holiday event held from 8:00 - 10:00 pm.
Blankets, lawn chairs and picnic basket meals are welcome, although some food and drink concessions are also available in the park.
