THE BIJOU THEATRE The former Bijou Theatre occupies the ground floor of the CARTA parking garage on the block at the corner of Broad and Third Streets. This space was home to one of the first multi-screen movie theatres in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. At its peak, the Bijou was an anchor tenant that helped spur much of the growth downtown. This original space was intentionally designed to be easily convertible to retail and office space once the theater vacated the building. HANEY LOT PARCEL The existing surface parking lot adjacent to the Majestic 12 Theater, at Broad and 4th Streets, is available for development. Proposed use of site includes a mixed-use retail project with approximately 30,000 square feet of ground floor mixed-retail and upper floor uses of housing, hotel, or office space. The Majestic Theater is expected to host between 375,000 and 400,000 customers annually. It features 12 screens, 2,500 seats, DLP digital projection & QSC prime digital sound and 3 three screens with 3D capabilities.
