This city block size-publicly owned and maintained park features a pond, water fall, benches and landscaped design that provides a serene setting for passive enjoyment. Developed by the City of Chattanooga in 1976, it was the first park in downtown Chattanooga. Both Miller Park and Miller Plaza were named in honor of Burkett Miller, a staunch advocate of downtown revitalization.

Miller Park is a popular gathering place in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. Downtown workers, residents and visitors come daily for outdoor lunches, moments of quite reflection and respite from a busy day. Miller Park is a more passive space with Miller Plaza enjoying more scheduled activities.
