The Houston Museum opened in 1961 and contains a continuously rotating display of a portion of the fabulous collection of antiques and decorative arts objects of the late Anna Safley Houston. Among the many items on display are some of the world’s finest collections of decorative glass, porcelain and Southern furniture. Anna Houston also collected husbands with nine documented spouses. The Houston Museum is located in the Bluff View Arts District in a Victorian residence built in the late 1890s.
