This historic district located on the bluffs high above the Tennessee River near the Hunter and Houston Museums offers bed and breakfast accommodations in three turn-of-the century restored homes. This district hosts sculpture and glassblowing symposiums. A bocce ball court is the site of frequent tournaments.
The district also includes River Gallery – an eclectic collection of fine art and sculpture by regional, national and international artists, and Renaissance Commons – a unique conference and reception center for private events. The River Gallery Sculpture Garden combines art and nature on two acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. Several restaurants (Back Inn Café, Tony's Pasta Shop, Rembrandt's Coffee House) offer upscale cuisine and fine pastries and candies made on site. The Bluff View Arts District is located along the riverwalk and can be reached by automobile from High Street.
